Dante watched as the genin from hoshi ducked low and moved under his arm... or well he listened more or less. Instinctively he reacted, slide both kunai close to his back, but he hesitated. The movements were all wrong, they were slower, not shard enough. In an uncharacteristic leap of faith Dante stayed the blades, killing Kiba would have been suicide anyway with the squad before him he would have a better chance with the other genin isolated then as things stood now.
Moving slowly he headed off in the direction Kiba indicated, keeping silent until his well trained ears could no longer here the tell tale rustling of the rest of the squad. "What is going on...." He whispered barely loud enough for Kiba to hear. As he spoke he moved through a series of short seals that he hide with the folds of his open jacket. He whispered a single word, "Mononoke," as he thrust his elbows backwards hard enough to push the genin off of him, but light enough not to hurt him. "I am hoping that was a ploy..." He said slowly turning to face the other ninja, "Because my desire to fight has not improved from the last time we spoke..."

"Yes." Kiba whispered back. He parted the branches of the bush, and watched as the rest of his team continued on their mission. Kiba began walking in the direction of Hoshi after he let a minute pass for the team to get ahead.
"If you really are who you say you are, then you would most likely know some of the Jounin in our village. Possibly even the Kage."

Dante was having trouble focusing anymore, it would appear as though he was suffering from a few ill-effects of the trip through time that had landed him these twenty years in the future. His headache had spread and with it came pangs of nausea and a sense of overall delirium. Slowly bringing his hand to his head he massaged his temples in an attempt to calm his symptoms enough to keep them hidden... the situation at hand was still far from ideal and with things as uneasy as they were it would be best if he kept any physical weaknesses to himself at least for the time being. "There is a chance," He said, realizing that an awkward pause had developed as he struggled with his headache, "but I was never given the chance to visit the village prior to just now..." He doubted that any ties he may have had all those years ago remained, or that he would even be remembered by jonin in his own village let alone ones in a village he had never seen himself.
"But what has happened.... in twenty years how much has changed," he mused aloud... only to realize that it was best if he got to know some of the bigger events if he was going to function as a ninja in these times. "Who are the current leaders of Konoha, and Suna... what happened to the akatsuki or the threat of another great war?" He asked, his words jumbling up with the speed of his inquiries... "Has was started... has it already been won or lost... what has happened...?"
((sorry to put you on the spot about plot details that may or may not be worked out yet... but it is the logical thing to be asking... so i figured i would ask it then offer help in creating the plot to answer it in an OOC much like this one at the end of the post))
((need any help with the plot stuff mentioned here?? (lulz)))

(( Nope, it's kewl )) Kiba stopped and cut a string, then began walking and attempted to answer Dante's questions. "Suna... That village is near death." He said, avoding some tree trunks. "They never found a suitable kage after the last one died, and everybody else took advantage of that. The village has passed ownership around 5 times in the past year." Disarming another trap, he spoke again. "Konoha has Uchiha Sasuke as their 'Kage'. Although he never does anything to govern the village from what I've heard. Apparently he dissapears at random times and pops back to fight every now and then." Kiba paused before speaking again. Obviously hesitant to share what information he had. "The Akatsuki... I have no information on them except what I have witnessed and what I've been told. Witnessed? Well, they happened to kidnap and kill somebody close to me to get something out of her, and as for orders... Extremely dangerous." Another pause, another trap. As the trees began to thin out, Kiba took Dante's headband from his head and placed it in his hand. "Don't let anyone see that on you." "As for another great war..." Kiba said as they walked out to the sunlight outside the trees. Hoshi now was quite different form Hoshi 20 years ago. The gas chasm was still; there, but on the other side, there were walls almmost as tall as Knoha's. Along the cliffside there were sharpened pikes, and shinobi were patrolling the walls. A few things that looked like birds were circling over what was the center of the village. "It's happening now."

Dante walked along slowly... nodding as each bit of news from his missed passed arrived. To be quite honest he had expected most of it, the world as a whole was far too predictable. But then he stopped.... "W-war," he stammered utterly shocked that it had taken this long to start again. "But that would mean that this war will be on a scale unlike any of the others..." he continued, "for tensions to have built up for so long... Have the old alliances held?"
((it is short but in a situation like this there is little other reaction then shocked silence..... anywho have you thought about a shout box set to the global footer... it would make communication between RP posts much easier and allow for exploration of intended plot twists before they occur, thus allowing for a more smooth RP in general))

Kiba nodded in ancknowledgement to Dante, made a few hand signs and shot what looked like a stream of light from his mount towards the circling birds.
"Yes, it is worse than all fo the other combined, especially the casualty counts. I'd be lying if I said Hoshi got to it's current status on it's own, if the other villages didn't weaken so much in military power we wouldn't have been asked to do more missions."
One of the circling birds started moving towards them at a rather fast rate.
"Our Kage's ambition right now is simply to end the war. By nagotiations, or by force. Whichever happens to work."
As the brid grew closer it began to look more and more like it had scales all over it, until it nearly landed on top of them and they realized it was a dragon.
"Come on." Kiba said, jumping onto the beast.

"Ka...kage moufu no jutsu."
The voice was extremely quiet, like a small bird or an animal in the bushes. Kukiko was hidden, at least for the time being. Her blanket concealled all but her right eye, which was peering out from the tree she had perched herself in. There were pursuers nearby, or that's what she told herself, at least. She could hear tidbits of conversation, but underneath her blanket, and hidden in the tree, Kukiko was generally sealed off from the world.
She was, at least, until a kunai flung past her face, distracting her from both her targets and her concealment technique. "Moufu arashi no jutsu..." she spoke, quiet still despite the situation. She flung open her blanket, sending a wave of razor sharp hair towards the direction of the Kunai. The attackers were for a short time forced to take cover behind a tree. There was a sharp cry of pain coming from just west of where she had aimed, and a small spurt of blood gave away the position of her attacks. That must've hit an artery or something to cause that much blood to come out...they're not going to like me when I'm found...her thoughts raced. Kukiko pulled the blanket tight around her body, and jumped from the large branch onto the ground. A loud crack, followed by the sound of wood smashing into wood, alerted her of the falling branches. She noticed several slash marks along the face of the tree that was oriented towards her, and suddenly came to a dire realization. A quick blur escaped her eyes, and the tree suddenly began to tip towards her, growing faster and faster as it tipped further and further away from it's center of gravity. Kukiko ran sideways, away from the falling tree, which landed with a deafening crash, sending the young genin flying towards the ground.
She crawled off the ground, and hid her head under her blanket. "Kage moufu no jutsu..." she chanted quietly, and slowly moved under the security of her now invisible blanket, looking for a good spot to gather her senses.

Jurei hated waking up and not knowing where he was, honestly it kind of seemed rude of the world not to acknowledge his presence and dictate directly to him his location. The world, however, never had proved itself to be that courteous up to this point so Jurei decided he might as well get up and look around while he tried to remember what happened to him. As he got up he readjusted his visor and looked around, this place was nondescript to say the most, how much could you say...trees everywhere, it annoyed him a little. He took out a shuriken from its holster and ringed some razor wire t it and while he walked proceeded to play with it as if it were a yoyo.
He tried to remember what specifically had taken place before he woke up. He had been in sunagakure with the rest of his squad, they had been returning home after performing a rather simple mission to spy on a neighboring country. Having learned nothing (he remembered this because he had been greatly disappointed.) And then, the best he could describe it as was he was ripped out of the world and then somehow it seemed popped back up in the world. This did not strike Jurei as typical behavior for the natural world, along with that and the fact that it wasnt introducing itself with him he was growing pretty irritated with it.
He then heard voices and of large wing beats coming from nearby and quietly hid amongst the trees. He halted his makeshift yoyo's movements and tried to listen into their conversation.

Dante's sightless gaze drifted towards kiba as he observed, through the ever changing patterns in the air, the shinobi's movements. A low gasped escaped his lips as he felt the powerful down draft of the giant birds wings, never before had he felt such power from a bird... it had to be a summon of some sort. "The rise and fall of a village will inevitably lead to the shifting of power among the others to fill the power void or settle a confrontation of interests in an area," he muttered to himself as he edged around the beast before him now, "The rise of Hoshi makes perfect sense if all is as you say." He couldn't help but feel uneasy with the way things were currently playing out, he couldn't place why but things still felt wrong. For starters why was he the only one affected... if in fact he was the only one affected.
It was as these facts drifted through his mind that another being came into his realm of awareness, from both size and even his very mannerisms Dante concluded he was still young, most likely around Dante's own age, and most definitely a ninja of some sort. "And who might you be?" he asked the unknown, newly arrived upon this unusual scene, careful to project his on voice to mere inches from the mans ear.

Natasha rubbed her eyes and let out a long sigh. She had been working all through the night to process the mission requests and finished missions, along with the reports and the new additions to the bingo book... No wonder the Hoshikage didn't like his job. She flopped the last stack of papers to the side of her desk, and picked up a photo frame. Before she was able to look at it properly, something caught her eye. Out of her open window, she could see that one of the transportation dragons had left.
"He's back already." She says aloud, letting her voice carry into the room adjacent to her own. Without waiting for a response, she stands up, walked over to her window, and jumped out, leaving the photo frame flat on the desk. Something must have happened for him to be back already... I just sent him out!
